Brittany Smith (Alumni 2003)

Brittany Smith Aquino has been dancing for over 37 years.  She started her dance education at Nardi Dance Studios under the direction of Tammy Liiro, at the age of 3.  She continued her dance education at Nardi, until her graduation from High School.  While at Nardi, she trained with the most prestige dancers/choreographers in their field, and also trained in ballroom for 10 years.  Throughout her years of dancing, Brittany was a featured dancer in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant and also performed in the Nutcracker at the State Theatre in Easton, PA.  During high school, Brittany was very active in chorus and Drama Club. She was the assistant dance choreographer her freshman year and moved to head dance choreographer the following years.  Her greatest theatre accomplishment was playing the lead role of Maria in West Side Story.  After High school, Brittany continued her dance education at DeSales University.
Brittany has also cheered since the age of 7, and has coached for over 13 years. During her years of cheerleading, Brittany was a 4-time UCA All Star Cheerleader, 2002-2003 Colonial League Cheerleader of the year, and represented the Lehigh Valley in 2002-2003 for the Pennsylvania Cheerleader Association.  She has also choreographed national routines and coached for the recreational level, All-Star level & high school level. In 2015 Brittany was name Head Commissioner of cheerleading for the Palmer Panther Athletic Association. She was also a head coach and head choreographer for the organization for 3 years.  Brittany also was a professional dancer for the semi-professional indoor arena football team, The Lehigh Valley SteelHawks from 2015-2018.  For the past 11 years, Brittany has been a dance teacher in the Lehigh Valley for both recreational and competitive classes. Brittany is very excited and grateful for the opportunity to teach at Nardi where she grew up. She looks forward to teaching aside the amazing Nardi staff, and is eager to share her love of dance, theatre and performing arts. She looks forward in helping to develop a more comprehensive program for students to improve not only in technique and performance, but also in gaining confidence inside and outside of the classroom!
